Go back to the toolbar on the left and click on the arrow next to the "Selection" tool and select "Magic Wand."ĥ. Using the magic wand tool, click inside all the letters of "California."Ħ. Now go to the very top toolbar and click on "Adjust." Then click on "Add/Remove Noise" and then on "Add Noise." A box should pop up. Click the radio button for "Random" and set noise to 75%. Now go to "File" and click "Save As." Name your image and then add a 1 after it. Make sure you save it in a file where you know where to find it later.įor example, I named my image "cali" so this part would be "cali1". A window should pop up looking like the window below. Repeat steps 4-8 on the other two images, naming them cali2 and cali3 when saved (or whatever you named them with a 2 and a 3 at the end.) On my computer, it's Start>All Programs>Jasc Sofware>Animation Shop 3.ġ1. Now on the top there should be a tool bar. The first button is the "Animation Wizard." Click on that, and a window should pop up.ġ2. In the first window it asks a question about dimensions. Set it to "Same size as the first image fame" and click next. In the next box it asks about canvas color, set it to transparent and click next. In the next box there is a long paragraph that doesn't make much sense, just set it to "centered in the frame" and "with the canvas color." Click next. Click yes, and set it to 10/100ths of a second and click next. Click on "Add images." Then find the file you saved "cali1", "cali2", and "cali3" in and open them. Now you should have a rectangular window that looks sort of like a timeline with all three of the images. Now go back to the top toolbar and click on the "View Animation" button. Viola! I learned how to make seamless tiles long before all the different programs and plugins existed for easy tiling. Here is an old-fashioned tutorial for making seamless tile the old-fashioned way. This tutorial uses a glitter picture tube which I have made greyscale so that the end product can be re-colored. The zip contains two glitter picture tubes, one is a single tube which should work perfectly for this tutorial. The second is a tube with 9 separate images for more random glittering. If you use my picture tube, you will need to put the tube in your Picture Tube directory (usually My Documents > My PSP Files > Picture Tubes. Greyscale Glitter Picture Tube s (or your image of choice)ġ. The image for this tutorial is 300 x 300 at 300 dpi.Ģ. Select the Round Grey Glitter tube for your picture tube. Vertical offset = 150 (Or 50% the height of your image) Horizontal offset = 150 (Or 50% the width of your image) When you are done, apply the Offset Effect (Effects > Image Effects > Offset) with the following settings: Paint your image with the glitter tube.Ĥ. NOTE: When you select center, the horizontal and vertical offset numbers will automatically change to be half of your image size.ĥ. Now the edges of the image are in the middle and you should be able to see the ugly seams which I have outlined in red.Ħ.
